This Is How Our Story Began
Women In Film Las Vegas is the leading 501 C3 nonprofit organization dedicated to women in the global entertainment industry. Today, there are over 40 chapters worldwide spanning four continents, 18 countries, and 10,000 global members. In 2002, Phyllis Cesare-Taie established the 44th Chapter of WIF in Las Vegas, Nevada. Its core and founding members consist of a dynamic and diverse group of independent producers, writers, and administrative and managerial personnel, looking to enhance and improve education and employment opportunities in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Members/supporters include Whoopi Goldberg, Goldie Hawn, Penny Marshall, Steven Spielberg, and Pierce Brosnan. Over 40 Women In Film (WIF) organizations span four continents and 18 countries worldwide.
Our main goals are to champion, promote and empower women in all facets of the entertainment industry. In addition, we promote Nevada's incredible production resources worldwide by utilizing them in our educational programs and offer resources, information, education, and opportunities in all aspects - from business to personal development (for women and men).
WIFT Las Vegas is a community-driven and charitable organization that provides programs and events for its community and its members by providing a network of PR contact, training, workshops, professional development, access to opportunities, and industry awareness.
WIFT Las Vegas is dedicated to recognizing, supporting, and increasing career achievements for individuals pursuing entertainment in all capacities. Our membership consists of qualified women and men who work in all areas of the entertainment industry. WIFT Las Vegas prides itself on building positive images of media-makers, empowering them to achieve their highest professional and creative potential, and helping create more job opportunities throughout the State of Nevada.
